Interested in a medical or nursing career? We have an excellent opportunity for you to learn the basics of person-centered-care. We will be holding a SD Board of Nursing approved training that will prepare you to become a state certified nurse aide.
Cost is $450 which includes workbooks and supplies. This fee does not include the individual testing fee of $185. Class size will be limited to 8 participants. Please contact instructor Anna Tellekson at 696-7517 to sign up.

Cook
- Full Time
- Early mornings and occasionally early evening hours with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
The primary purpose of this position is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Dietary Manager, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.
Duties include but are not limited to: Review menus prior to preparation of food. Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident. Prepare food in accordance with planned menus. Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance. Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.

Charge Nurse (RN/LPN)
Shift: Various Shifts and On-call
Hours: 6am-6pm and/or 6pm-6am
Weekends/Holidays: Every third
Responsible for the delivery of resident care that promotes safety and well-being. Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates all direct care activities. Responsible for clinical and non-clinical activities in the facility in absence of the Director of Nursing. Participates in the development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures. Requires sound knowledge of nursing practice and leadership abilities. Assists with the orientation of employees, and is active member of interdisciplinary care team, including quality improvement.
Certification, Licensure, and/or Registrations: Licensed as a nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Shifts: Various shifts available and On-call
Weekends/Holidays: Every other
The Certified Nursing Assistant works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Nurse to assist with general nursing care to residents as directed by the licensed nurse. The Certified Nursing Assistant duties including but not limited to personal hygiene, comfort and safety measures, assisting with activities of daily living, and simple nursing procedures outlined in the job responsibilities. The Certified Nursing Assistant assists with maintaining a clean environment for the resident. The Certified Nursing Assistant has the ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions and work under close supervision. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Certification: Current SD CNA certification. Must have completed or be able to complete accredited nursing assistant training program approved by the facility and the State of South Dakota.
