Our ASSISTED LIVING units are licensed by the State of South Dakota as an Assisted Living Center. Residents bringing their prized possessions along to personalize their new home may beautifully furnish the private studios and private suites. The Park Place Assisted Living units include three (3) meals per day and assistance with daily living needs. Staff is on site 24-hours per day to monitor medications and respond to the urgency call system, as well as to attend to your personal needs.

Your security is of prime concern and so a 24-hour call system is provided. Smoke alarms are furnished in each area and a monitored fire alarm system is installed in the building. Residents may receive visitors any time, day or night. However, for the security of the residents, the main entry doors will be locked in the evening. Residents have the additional security of having their doors open into an interior hallway. The paved parking area for residents and guests is well lighted and maintained by our own staff.

Your new home cannot be compared to conventional assisted living because of the substantial amount of common areas built for use by all residents. The beautifully decorated main lobby, central dining room, private dining room, activity/craft room, library, and beauty/barber shop are available for activities with friends and family as well as planned group activities. The Park Place Assisted Living facility is owned and managed by the United Retirement Center Avera and we are committed to meeting the needs of the retired. We believe you'll find a refreshingly different kind of retirement-a blend of independent living with an added dimension of security. Residents who wish to, or need to, may or may not, give up their automobiles, since transportation may be arranged by our own staff.

You, as a resident, may come and go as you please…free to do all the things you want to do. Your home will be monitored for you while you are away. And, of course, all residents have the right and privilege of privacy if they so desire.

A less-restrictive environment coupled with independence based on your physical and psychosocial health, will allow retirement living in an enjoyable care-free atmosphere. PPAL residents will have priority as needed for the following services provided by the United Retirement Center Avera:

You may bring your own furniture to transform your room/suite into YOUR home. Your first night here, you will be able to sleep in your own bed.

Interested individuals may schedule a private tour of the facility. A deposit of $1,000.00 will secure your choice of room/suite for one month, which will then be credited to your account with the first month's charges.
